Asbestos consultancy

With over 70 years combined experience in the asbestos industry we offer a full consultancy service with advice from our greatly experienced staff in all aspects of asbestos related problems. Whether its a question of the best way to identify if Asbestos is present, through to how to manage or remove any asbestos already identified, we aim to give the most professional and impartial advice to assist our clients in making their decisions.

Establishing the presence of asbestos can only be determined by means of sampling. Upon consultation with each client, we identify the end result required and conclude the most cost effective solution. This could be anything from a single sample to a full Asbestos survey, depending on our clients needs.

Consultation is also offered concerning the potential management of any asbestos found during sampling and surveying the property. We would not always recommend removal of ACM's (Asbestos Containing Materials) that are in good condition, but would strongly recommend removal if they are obviously breaking down and causing a hazard.

Management would usually involve returning to site, on an annual basis (as detailed in The Management of Asbestos in Non-domestic Premises Regulation 4 of the Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations 2002) to confirm the ongoing condition of the ACM's as shown in the Asbestos Register. The risk assessment would be updated and if there is a change we re-evaluate with our client to confirm what their options are.

If removal is required, we discuss with our clients when this should be carried out, taking into account whether the product needs notifying to the H.S.E. as this takes 14 days. Not all Asbestos is notifiable and if this is the case, we simply arrange a start date agreeable to all parties.

We can also carry out on-site project management for Asbestos removal if a licensed contractor is not required or if management is required for a sub contractor already on-site.
